Newly Chartered Salina Kiwanis Club - 04/25/2017

Four Kiwanis Club of Topeka members attended the Chartering Ceremony of the newly formed Kiwanis Club in Salina.  Robert and Jan Maxwell, Harold Wolgast, and Rita Adams celebrated with the new club members, Governor Cindy Bender, several past Governors, and many other club representatives.  Governor Bender presented the new club president, Craig Darrow, with the Chartering Certificate, while other clubs presented startup funds and the raffle monies also went to the new club.  The Chartering Ceremony was held at Guiterrez Mexican Restaurant in Salina and had over 40 Kiwanians in attendance.  Many other clubs were represented from as far as Kansas City KS to Colby to Lindsborg,...


President's Day/SHS Key Club/Combat Air Museum - 02/24/2017

On Monday, February 20, President's Day, our club was honored to have present Seaman Key Club Sponsor, Randy Crome, and members of the Seaman High School Key Club.  We were also privileged to have Dick Troop and Dave Murray of the Combat Air Museum tell us about the children's program offered by the museum.  Additionally, our board decided to recognize each of the club's past presidents as a part of "President's Day".  We are very appreciative of their leadership.

Kiwanis Family Picnic - 02/02/2017

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!

Reynolds Lodge at Lake Shawnee has been reserved for Thursday, May 11, for our annual Kiwanis Family Picnic.  Meat and cold drinks (non-alcoholic) are provided.  Please bring a side dish.  

Kiwanis Family includes all our BUG program participants, Builders Clubs and Key Clubs.  Arrival time is 5:30 with dinner opening at 6pm.  Please plan to bring a guest or two with you.


HPHS Key Club Update - 01/30/2017

Many thanks to the Kiwanians who donated to our bake sale! We raised $130.13 at the 8th grade parent night bake sale last Thursday night and promoted our club to students who will be incoming freshmen next school year. 


Highland Park High School Key Club has been working hard to sign up community members for affordable internet connections in partnership with Cox. The internet sign up event will be held at the Highland Park High School Cafeteria on Tuesday, January 31, between 5:30 and 7:30 PM.  Highland Park High School Key Club members will be hosting crafts and a photo booth for family members attending the event.   There is a door prize giveaway for eligible...

Good morning Kiwanis, 

I wanted to share what's going on with HPHS Key Club.  Have a great weekend and stay warm!

HPHS Key Club officers Cassandra Santiago and Jahmir Swopes made their local news debut yesterday promoting a family event in partnership with Cox that will help families in the community sign up for affordable internet service. On January 31, from 5:30-7:30 PM in the HPHS cafeteria, Cox will sign up qualifying families (those that qualify for free and reduced lunch) for low-cost internet plans. Key Club volunteers will staff the family-friendly activities and winter-themed photo booth. There will be door prize giveaways - including 20 Chromebooks!

Dear Kiwanis,

Highland Park High School Key Club used the cookies left over from the successful charter event in a bake sale during lunch yesterday. Students raised $81.86 with the cookies you baked or brought, which will be donated to Team CareMore for their Holiday Family Adoptions so families in need can have a little more this Christmas.
